Schwalbenberg & Associates, Inc. is an independent consulting company with extensive experience in service engineering and repair of steam turbines, reduction gears, compressors, generators, pumps and related equipment. We are former General Electric marine and industrial service engineers with current experience on units made by all major and many of the less common manufacturers.

We have the capability to support your maintenance, inspection, repair, and long-term operational needs. Our services range from on-board, on-site engineering supervision working with your crews or vendors, to full responsibility, turn-key contracts.

Our Team

Our principal engineers, Don Maines, Fred Root, Pete Schwalbenberg, Walt Taggart, and Paul Tobin have over 160 years of cumulative experience in service engineering, repair and operation of steam turbines, gears and related machinery.

With our engineering backgrounds and combined experience, we have developed a practical feel for the evaluation of wear and damage to these machines. Our network of supporting specialists in the fields of metallurgy, welding, failure analysis, non-destructive testing and theoretical engineering analysis provides additional support and guidance for our repair procedures and recommendations. Our services are available, around the clock, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week so we can solve your problems without red-tape or delays.
